For your information, we have no charge/agency fee. But if you sail in countries with the tax, then company in UK will deduct the tax from your salary. And if you sail in countries without tax, there is no deduction. And overtime depends Captain on board. For example, there is UK Tax about 20%, so if you sail UK, company will deduct your salary about 20%. Salary for Bosun in our company is $1,748/month. Incharge of all personnel matters for group of vessels assigned. Closely co-ordinate with the Manager through a daily meeting of senior staff on all ongoing assignments/recruitment and all crewing matters. Maintain direct contact with senior officers on leave and advise/prepare them with regard to their next assignment. Reply to seafarers applying for job through mail and arrange for interviews where appropriate. Supervise crewing officers on :- Plan assignments of ex and new officers, ensuring due consideration for vessel type and ship specific requirements. Senior officers assignments to be in co- ordination with Managing Director. Recruit new Deck or Engine Officers based on company selection procedures always aiming for highest possible quality of floating staff. Verify and sign applicable wages, standby wages, other payments due and recovering monies in letter of assignment. Monitor quarterly crew confidential reports received from ships. Update records and in co-ordination with managing Director take decisions for retention/ re-employment / promotion/ training/counseling and ship board follow up. Prepare Promotion list for officers. Debriefing senior officers for evaluation of crew performance and record suggestions for Quality improvement where necessary. Briefing of all officers/ratings joining vessels with principal policies and system. Emphasis on training of officers and crew on safety and pollution prevention and company's expectations from them on quality improvement. Keep abreast of current crew budgets /crew costs. Keep updated record of licensing requirements for various flag states. Appraisal of office staff under his assigned group of vessels. B. SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION OF CREWING MANAGER Assist Managing Director in preparation of budgets and budget / actual comparison reports, and advice staff on cost optimization. To take charge of office in the absence of Managing Director. Incharge of office administration. Incharge of recruitment, selection and placement of all Navigating officers. Responsible for all recruitment / selection / placement of officers and crew for all vessels under crew management and to coordinate with Managing Director, for same.
