Maintenance of existing IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, Local and / or Wide area networks, IT security and telecommunications.. Administration and maintenance of company's internal systems.. Configuration and set-up of all new server systems required internally for the company's activities.. Firewall administration and overall responsibility for company IT security.. Administration of email servers for company-wide email.. Respond to enquiries from internal employee and help them resolve any hardware or software problems.. Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected.. To consult on infrastructure problems and provide suitable networking solutions.. To ensure that all systems from desktops, server, RDBMS and networks are working to their full capacity.. Maintenance of existing Anti-Spam and anti-virus systems and the setting of new Anti-Spam policies.Skills Required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies (XP / Vista / Windows 7).. Good knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 2003 / 2008 server.. Advanced knowledge and experience of administering Linux systems of the Linux operating system (Slackware/CentOS).. Knowledge of bash shell scripting.. Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).. Experience troubleshooting Remote Access tools such as SSH, Remote Desktop Connection or VNC.. Strong knowledge of PC hardware set-up and configuration.. Strong working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and basic computer hardware components.. Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software.. Networking experience (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).. Knowledge of Anti Virus.. Knowledge of Firewalls.. Telecomunications experience (PBX). Advantage having knowledge of programming application (Delphi, Java etc)II.
