Since its inception on December 13, 1937, ANTARA has been playing a role as a news agency of the people’s struggle for helping reach Indonesia’s national independence as it voiced the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia worldwide in 1945.

ANTARA has been officially serving as a National News Agency since 1962. It was declared as a public corporation in July, 2007. With 32 bureaus nationwide, a number of representative offices and correspondents abroad, ANTARA is now trusted to be the president of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agency (OANA) for the 2007-2010 period.
As a national information emissary, ANTARA remains on the front line to strive for the national development and maintain the national dignity through dissemination of news on Indonesia throughout the country and
abroad under its motto.. Fast, Accurate and Important.
In December 2008, ANTARA has achieved ISO 9001-2000 certification for its editorial directorate. ISO 9001-2000 a specifies requirements for a quality management system has become a concrete evidence for all of ANTARA people’s commitment to extend management transformation to make the quality management system stronger than before.

Internet – Easy access to the variety of ANTARA News Products at any time on its website www.antara.co.id and news photos at www.antaraphoto.com.Mobile Phone – Providing ANTARA News Products shortly and concisely through SMS and GPRS facilities. Bulletin – Providing certain news products conventionally to customers which have not been connected to the digital information technology system

Reporters
Qualifications:

• Male/female with maximum 25 years old.
• hold bachelor degree, English literarture or Journaslism would be an advantage
• having knowledge and skill in journalism would be an advantage
• creative and excellent communication
• proficient in english, with minimum TOEFL Score of 500
• Good Knowledge in Personal Computer
• willing to work by deadline
